Im 21. Im 5'7 and 185lbs. I've had 3 kids. Am i overweight? If so, what is the average weight of people my age and height?

Variable: This depends greatly on how premature an infant is and whether or not there are intestinal issues like bowel resection from nec or breathing issues like bpd which could impair weight gain.

Always Growing!: Most premies were growing at the same rate as their counterparts who made it to term--only the premies came came out sooner! once they're born, premies tend to grow quickly. As a rule of thumb, most are "caught-up" in growth by their second birthday. And, to help put things in perspective, i know some ex-premies, now adults, who can dunk a lot better than their full-term counterparts!

Depends: The average weight and height for a premature infant depends or several factors. The most important is the gestational age at delivery. Obviously the earlier the age at delivery, the smaller the neonate will be. Other factors such as maternal illnesses, infections or substance use can affect the size of premature infants as well. Special growth charts for premature infants are available.

100-105: To calculate your ideal body weight, females= 100 lbs + 5 lbs per inch over 5 ft. Males= 106 lbs + 6 lbs per inch over 5 ft. These are ideal body weights- and most people are usually within 20% of their body weight. Anything more than 10% above your ideal body weight is considered obese.
