Too many- read on: By definition a person is considered obese if bmi is 30 or greater. The percentage is 35.7 and source is the cdc. I attached the website where you can read the cdc report and see the slides. http://www.cdc.gov/obesity/data/adult.html.

65% over BMI 25: 35% are overweight (bmi 25-30). An additional 30% are obese (bmi over 30). That means only 1/3 in the us are "normal" weight. Pretty staggering.
