i'm new to diabetes (type ii). what should my blood glucose levels be? should i only check while fasting?

NO: Fasting (8hrs no food) less than 110 2hrs after eating less than 140 for people in your age group up to 50 yrs 100-140 @ bedtime. You should test several times during the day, stick to your diet, exercise (that burns sugar) and when your md tests your blood find out what your 3month levels are. With discipline you can be healthy for a lifetime.
