Consultation time: After almost 2yrs of trying it is reasonable to have a consultation with a fertility center.Your pcp or OB can provide you some basic information but both you & your husband should have some basic workup to identify any factors interfere with conception.With that information you can better understand that might just take longer or might need assistance.

Relax: The stress people put themselves under is not great for conceiving and as you say can make it 'horrible'.See a specialist to see if there is anything in either of you preventing pregnancy. If they do not find anything, relax and keep trying. If they find something, in today's world most problems can be fixed.
