Surgery has risks: In general, breast surgery is safe but it does come with serious risks. It is important to have a thorough preoperative evaluation by your pmd to make sure you don't have health problems that will cause a problem during or after surgery.
You need to look at the experience of the surgeon. It can help to get a recommendation from friend/family.

Yes, but...: The vast majority of patients who undergo breast surgery do well. However, any surgical procedure, including breast surgery carries certain risks as well as potential complications. These risk/complications will vary from one procedure to another. Therefore, patients should spend time learning about the potential risk/complications associated with a specific procedure prior to proceeding.

Safe surgery: Yes. Now, there are always risks in any procedure. The most common are; bleeding, infection and anesthesia complications. These are very rare. Please see a board certified plastic surgeon to see if you are a candidate.
