Vit c wounds: There are no studies of value that show that high doses of vitamin c are effective in wound healing compared to a usual daily intake of the vitamin through natural food sources.

Theory only: In theory vit c should be good for healing as it has effects on the production of the important structural protein called collagen.
The disease scurvy is probably the extent of the evidence. In scurvy joints fail, because the body can no longer keep the cartilage and tendons strong, his blood vessels break open, gums ulcerate and teeth fall out however no studies show help in wound healing.
