Gargles, waterpik: Tonsil stones are irritating and cause local inflammation and pain to the affected tonsils. Typically a conservative treatment of salt water gargles, waterpik to the affected area can dramatically improve the situation. For those who tonsil stones are unrelenting, removal of the tonsils is a curative but last resort.

Black hairy tongue: It is a condition caused by lengthening of the filiform papilla of the tongue. This in turn can cause it to become stained easily by coffee, food or tobacco. It can also occur after taking pepto-bismol or can be a side effect from taking penicillin. Certain types of bacteria and yeast can also be a factor.

Lip Color: The color of your lips is determined by the pigment in your skin and the blood flow beneath the skin. There is no way to "change" the color of your lips other than with camouflage techniques like temporary or permanent make-up. Hope this helps!
