had lumbar laminectomy 6/2/11, any excercises i can do to strenghten my back muscles, and just excercise in general, (i kinda hate to walk, boring)?

Core muscle exercise: Strengthening and flexibility of the muscles of the back and abdomen is an important step in recovery at this point postop. Consultation with a physical therapist can be useful. Other resources can be yoga or pilates instructors who have experience in training patients who have had previous spine surgery.

All exercises are : Beneficial including cardiovascular routines, flexibility and core exercises which can include weights except dead lifts and squats with bench work ideal and probably avoiding a rowing machine.
