URI: Most cold viruses will give a person fever and chills with muscles aches and headache. Some nasal congestion, runny nose and cough with sore throat. Loss of appetite and other stomach symptoms may be seen. If the temp is less than 102 and there are no other symptoms, over the counter cold meds with rest and fluids are best. Go to the doctor if not better in 10 days or fever goes >103.

Probably not: That sounds like a typical cold, treatable with over-the-counter medications, not something that requires a doctor.
