Doctor can evaluate: A person who has unwanted, unintended weight loss can see her primary care doctor to figure out why. Sometimes it is a thyroid problem, a cancer, a digestive problem, other internal disease, etc... Until the cause of weight loss is known, there is no magic pill. However, one can take higher calorie supplements or foods, while undergoing the doctor's evaluation.
