Many things: Do you have trouble going to sleep? Make sure your room is dark and cool. Don't watch tv or use computer, drink alcohol, or smoke before bedtime. Exercise more than 2 hours before going to bed. Do something relaxing like taking a bath or meditating. If you wake up in the middle of the night don't stare at the clock. Try getting up and reading or doing something quiet until you feel sleepy.
