A yeast infection: Candida is the reason for thrush. Some people will try corticosteroid but the best cure is a anti fungal pill or I have even know some who will suck on a vagiinal suppository that is used for yeast infections. Your dentist or doctor will be able to help you.

Thrush=Candida: Candida fungi are normally in low numbers in the mouth, but can overgrow forming white, cheesy patches that may bleed. It is associated with taking antibiotics that kill the good bacteria, stress or immune suppression from various diseases & medications such as steroids. Eating yogurt with live cultures or rinsing and swallowing pro-biotic mixtures with lacto-bacillus can restore a normal balance.

There are oral prescription anti-fungal troches (lozenges) and rinses as well as systemic pills that work well to heal candida infections
