how could i get rid of anxiety without drugs or alcohol?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Evan Altman
18 years experience Psychiatry
Therapy & self help: Psychotherapy can be extremely effective for treating anxiety disorders. Making an appointment with your doctor to discuss this option can be the first step to great improvements and drugs may not be needed. Cognitive behavioral therapy, relaxation techniques, and imagery are all helpful. Self-help books can also be an option if you want to try on your own, but better in conjunction with therapy.
