Depends: Now it is a little more subtle and will need to be tailored to your individual situation and associated injuries. A rotator cuff tear, shoulder arthritis, biceps tear, or superior labral tear would all improve to a certain extent, then have residual symptoms. Whether you just need more exercise, or a repair, or even a replacement, will need to be individualized by your orthopedic surgeon.
