Location: Pimples usually present on face, in severe and extensive form, on chest, back and upper arms. They are small, usually, at or around hair follicles. "boils" could present anywhere but less commonly on face. They are big, tender and sometimes painful, oozy and pussy usually. When pimples turn big ("cystic acne"), the different features between pimples and boils become fuzzy.
