Scabies, lice: Lindane shampoo has been used for both head lice and scabies which is an intensely itchy infection involving the wrists ankles, waist, breasts and genitals. Rid , Ovide are first line for lice. For scabies lindane would be used for resistant cases .However it is rarely used in small children due to potential neurotoxicity.
