Well....: For you, your partner, your age, the circumstances, when, where, why? As a general answer sex can and should be good.
Dr. Robert Killian
General Practice 28 years experience
Sexuality: Yes. Sexual activity is a part of the human experience. Sexual activity with a partner can bring love, commitment and healing. Masturbation can bring stress relief. There is no medical or health reason to be celibate.

To make babies!: "why" questions are hard to answer in the natural sciences, as they imply there's a purpose or intent. Biology usually relies on evolution principles to answer "why" questions. In this case, the good feelings from sex motivate the behavior, resulting in propagation of the species. If you seek a neurological explanation (how not why), perhaps a neurologist can answer.

Depends: Promiscuity and casual sex always lead to trouble, but that's something you don't need a doctor to tell you and you may decide it's worth it. In a real relationship bound together by love, "excessive" only means missing appointments and other things you want to or should do. If you compulsively seek out new partners and want to stop, we can help -- insight or a ssri may stop this unwanted behavior.

Check library or web: Good sex means being present open and there with your partner. Resolve issues of safety and protection beforehand in a open honest and caring way. Always remember that safe sex can still be wild and "gooid".Use finger and body creatively. Set the mood with soft lighting, smooth tunes and maybe a candle. Take time to explore the body...Ask where it feels best, often g spots are unique.

Protection: For sex with minimal worry afterwards about contracting disease, make sure to use appropriate barrier protection, such as condoms.

Is sex with animals good?

Dr. Robert Killian

Sexuality: While there is 'good' or 'bad' in medicine my reaction to this is that this activity is illegal in most places in america. The desire to be sexual with animals may very well be a mental health problem and i would advise you to get to a sex therapist or to get in to discuss these feelings with your family doctor.
