OA of knees: For routine osteoarthritis of the knees it is very important to maintain strength and tone of the legs. Low impact weight bearing or less exercises are good. They should stress strengthening and flexibility.Regular exercise such as walking is great. It is often good to premedicate before exercise to prevent pain. Swimming and pool exercises are great as well.

Low impact: 29 is toung to have arthritis in your knee. You want to do low-impact exercise like swimming or cycling, but make sure the seat height is set appropriately. Too low is not good for the kneecap. It's important to do exercises that strengthen your quadricep and hip and buttock muscles and stretch your hamstrings and hip flexors.
