See below: Not necessarily. It would depend on a lot of factors. Especially, why the apgar scores were low. The first score represents how the bay did with delivery. The second score reflects the baby's health.

See below. : Not necessarily. There are many reasons for a low apgar, including maternal history, and fetal conditions which may be secondary to congenital syndromes, or even prematurity. These as well as others should be taken into account and discussed with a medical professionals who has access to both maternal and fetal/infant's medical records.

Bizarre question: Why would a score based on the condition of the baby at 1/5/10 minutes be able to define the complex issue of malpractice?Would the low score of in a baby with cord wrapped around the neck 5 times, or the floppy 30 wk premi, or the meconium stained infant be the doc's fault? The score is a gauge of how fast and much support a newborn needs at birth, nothing more.

List of fixes: It helps if mom/dad make a list of what things they can do something about, for those times they are tired & can't think clearly. Offer feed if not fed within last 2hr. Warm if cold. Cool off if warm. Change if dirty. Console if in need of nurturing. A warm bath can relax them. If nothing works & baby is otherwise well, put on the headphones & let the kid figure it out.

Prenatal stress: You should talk to ur OB & if he/she tells you everything is okay you should not stress yourself. The baby feels your stress as well so it would be better to let your doctor worry &stress for your & your baby's health if needed. You should enjoy your pregnancy&be happy. If your doctor told you some thing is wrong, there may be other things you could do besides stressing. Use ur energy positively.
