There are options: Depending upon the source of your pain, there are several analgesic options. Nsaid's are best for inflammatory conditions , bone and joint pain. There are prescription strength nsaid's as well as over the counter options. Risks are gastric bleeding, increased risk with cardiac or renal disease. Tramadol may be well tolerated , with less nausea than codeine.

MSM 3000mg 2x per da: Joint pains on movement suggest loss of joint cartilage, therefore the most efficient approach is to treat for both immediate relief and also a treatment approach to regenerate cartilage in the joint to a near normal state, therefore no pain. This approach can and does fail if there is not enough cartilage to be stimulated. In addition to the msm you must treat with chicken collagen 2to3xper day.

Maybe: Depends on your illness and on how old you are. Codeine relieves cough by suppressing it, but is a strong sedative, so if you have phlegm, it stays inn. On the other hand if you have an irritative cough, it is probably ok. You must be older than 6 yrs old, and the dose should be adjusted according to your weight
