Transplant Surgery 20 years experience
Resection: Licer resection is the next best treatment, tumor ablation would be next followed up by liver directed chemotherapy and finally systemic (total body) chemotherapy.

There are options: There are several options for treating hcc short of transplant. If you would like a review of all the options, look at the journal of the american cancer society in dec 2012. Catheter based techniques called embolization are the most common platforms.

Resect or downstage: Surgical resection is best when possible. Other treatments work well including rfa, chemo embolization, or y90 radioembolization.
