can gardasil or cervarix give you a false positive hpv test ?

No: Gardasil is a vaccine. There are many subtypes of hpv which Gardasil does not cover. So yes you can still have an hpv test that can be positive. Please note also that Gardasil is a 3 part series vaccine to be truly effective.
