Lifestyle: Assuming you are asking about type 2 diabetes, anything you can do to reduce your Insulin requirement may allow you to make enough Insulin without the help of meds. Changes might include: eating fewer carbs, eating less overall to lose wt, exercising more to lose wt, and building muscle to increase Insulin sensitivity. Good luck! note: if you have type 1 dm, only Insulin will treat it.
