Should i forgo western medicine and try chinese herbal medicine to treat my diabetes?

No: I am a medical doctor a would have to say no. All the studies i know about tell me that western medicine works for diabetes. I don't know anything about chinese herbal medicine.

Can try both : First, to some degree this depends on what type/degree of diabetes you have- if you are Insulin dependent please do not forego insulin! if you have type 2 (adult onset) you may benefit from chinese as well as western herbal medicine, as many herbs & nutrients have been proven to have benefits in treating diabetes. But it is not either/or- you can do herbs while using western medicine. See comment:.
