Does white nipple secretion always mean cancer or tumors?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Barry Rosen
33 years experience in General Surgery
No: On the contrary, white discharge is almost always associated with a benign process. Niple discharge that is most concerning is watery or bloody, spontaneous, and occurs in only one breast. Even under these circumstances, this discharge is far more commonly due to a noncancerous condition.

Maybe,: but if you're having chest pain, cancer is not high on the list of potential causes. If your pain is acute, consider going to the ER for evaluation.
