New crib: Cribs should be new and approved well lit with nothing near that could fall on baby mattress firm with good support
for your baby nothing in the crib security camera is useful
changing table wide enough to prevent falls never leave alone on table.

Are humidifiers safe in baby nursery?

Yes: Yes humidifiers are safe but they do need to be cleaned often because they do get some bacterial growth which then can be in the mist put out in the air and be of potential risk of causing infection.
