No: Most cancers are multifactorial, and include environmental factors, genetic factors, and so on.

Multifactorial: Skin cancer, like most cancers, has many different things which affect it. In the case of skin cancer, lifestyle choices like high amounts of sun exposure and smoking will increase your risk for skin cancer. If you are at higher risk for skin cancer, discuss with your doctor and/or see a dermatologist for screening examinations.
