Yes!: End stage renal disease, regardless of cause, is the reason to get a kidney transplant. Having a working kidney will lengthen your lifespan and improve your quality of life as opposed to being in dialysis. The kidney can come from a cadaver(dead person) or live donor (healthy person willing to give a kidney).
