Hand washing.: The swine flu is passed just in the same way as any regular flu or cold - when infected people sneeze or cough and other people breathe in the virus or get it on their hands and touch their mouth or eyes. Basic handwashing is key. Soap and water is good, but the alcohol based gels work best, and it's more convenient to use.

Swine Flu: To avoid catching Swine Flu – wash your hands often or use alcohol – based sanitizers. Wash hands before touching your eyes, nose or mouth. Coughing or sneezing into elbow helps to contain germs. Avoid crowds of people. Get your annual flu shot.

Swine flu spread: Most influenza spreads viral particles by the aerosolized sputum (spit) produced by coughing. This is why there is so much emphasis on wearing a face mask if you have a severe cold or flu-like illness.

Yes: Get vaccinated! this year's flu vaccines covers you against swine flu and the other two strains of flu that may be prevalent this year. The sooner you get the flu shot, the sooner you are protected from getting swine flu!
