Fraxel.: True acne scarring, or indentations and pitting of the skin, is best treated with ablative or non-ablative resurfacing lasers. Fraxel re:store was the first and still is the best non-ablative resurfacing laser. Typically 4-5 treatments yield an improvement of 50-75% in scarring by stimulating new collagen formation within the scar tissue.

Acne Treatment: Before dealing with the scars makes sure you aren't still having new breakouts. Unfortunately you can't really get rid of any scar. Instead try to make them less obvious. Deep pits can be removed with a circular punch and rough areas can be improved with dermabrasion, chemical peels and laser resurfacing. Expect improvement but not perfection.

Improve, not remove: You can never remove a scar, once present. However, multiple options for improving the appearance of acne scars exist. Depending on your skin and exact circumstances your facial plastic surgeon or dermatologist may recommend laser treatments (including co2, 1550 nm erbium), peels, dermabrasion, or well as topical treatments. Seek a physician with experience.
