While no...: Hgh is not a steroid, but a peptide hormone produced by the pituatary gland. It does have potent anabolic properties which are synergistic with anabolic steroids, ie. Testosterone. It is widely used by professional athletes in every sport, because it can only be detected using a blood test., not a urine test. So it has complementary actions with steroids, albeit illegal in sports!
