Is it safe to take acetaminophen and ibuprofen at the same time to combat period cramps?

Yes: Nsaids (ibuprofen , advil etc) are felt to be more effective since they inhibit the production of the chemical that makes the uterus cramp. If you have pain that is not controlled by an NSAID at the recommended dose you can use tylenol (acetaminophen) also (at recommended dose). If your pain is not controlled with this, you need to see your doctor.
