Nerve blocks : Nerve blocks, triptans are very useful for cluster headaches. Even intranasal Lidocaine can be used. Cluster headaches are hard to treat and you will need to be in care of a neurologist.

If you enter a patterned cluster headache episode, your best bet is prevention to break up pattern. Such drugs as steroids, Depakote, Topamax, or even beta-blockers might work. Inhalation of 100% oxygen may be useful to stop the head pain.
