Increase sugar: Most energy drinks have a lot of sugar in them as well as caffeine or caffeine like substances. They can increase heart rates, blood pressure and cause anxiety. Working out with an energy can also elevate heart rates and blood pressure more than normal. Eventually, weight gain glucose intolerance can occur with constant increases in high sugar beverages.
