A 29-year-old member asked:

How dangerous are bed bugs?

2 doctor answers4 doctors weighed in
Dr. Joseph Bouvier
Pediatrics 25 years experience
Not: They are annoying and all bites can potentially become infected if one scratches the area and gets a secondary skin infection from the bacteria already on one's skin. But they are not dangerous (venomous).
Dr. Heidi Fowler
Psychiatry 25 years experience
Not very: In addition to the excellent information provided by dr. Bouvier, bed bugs do not tend to carry or spread pathogens.
