Yes: Depending if having irregular periods is a change from the person's normal pattern. If the normal pattern has been regular and then as she matures irregularity occurs then early menopause is a possibility. Further evaluation is warranted to rule out any other hormonal abnormalities such as hyper prolactinemia and hypothyroidism in addition to polycystic ovarian syndrome.
