Usually cytarabine: This mutation is associated with responsiveness to chemotherapy. The typical treatment for consolidation is Cytarabine in high dose. There other other types of consolidation programs. Your oncologist should discuss the options in detail.
Good luck.

AML Consolidation: If an AML has uninformative chromosome testing results (also reported as "normal") and the only gene mutation is NPM1, then treatment typically involves one cycle of induction (such as 7+3) followed by 4 cycles of consolidation chemotherapy with High Dose Ara-C (aka HiDAC). Many times this plan requires modifications because of side effects, infections, etc.
