Yes: Asthma in some of its milder forms is often mislabeled in kids as bronchitis or recurrent pneumonia. As you age the pattern may become more definite & recognizable.

Yes: Asthma can develop at any age. Majority of those diagnosed with asthma in childhood are asymptomatic or have a significant improvement in their symptoms by the time they reach adulthood.
Adult asthmatics however are unlikely to achieve complete remission of their symptoms.
