when should girls normally start to develop breasts?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Wayne Ingram
Specializes in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Between 10 and 12: Breast budding is the first step in female sexual development and is occuring earlier to pre-teens than it did a generation ago due to better nutrition. Obesity, and other premature estrogen conditions can cause early development prior to the above ages, so a md visit would be warranted.
