Nerve issues: Vitamin b6 is the one to watch as it can be . Toxic in overdoses. "adverse effects have only been documented from vitamin b6 supplements and never from food sources." b vitamins are water soluble and we usually pee out what we do not need. It is ok to take breaks from supplementation. You can also monitor your levels periodically with blood tests. www.spectracell.com is worth looking at.

A 39-year-old male asked:

What are health benefits of getting a vitamin b shot?

Only if deficient: If you have a healthy diet you will get sufficent b vitamins, and a shot isn't needed / doesn't really do anything. B6 deficiency can be caused by a very limited diet (happens in alcoholism) and B12 deficiency can occur with strict vegan diets, or in the condition pernicious anemia. In these cases, injections of b6 or B12 are important part of the treatment.

12 types of b's: Vitamin b's do different things. There are 12 types so that are helpful for many things such as nerves, energy, memory, focus, heart, neonatal brain development etc. I recommend using all b's as a single b complex of 100mcg, 400-800mcg of Folic Acid and additional B12 if you are mostly vegetarian, under stress or have adrenal fatigue.
