what do you do for a loose front permanent tooth on an eight year old?

Trauma?: Did they hit it? If so go see a dentist. When a toot first comes in the bone has been changing and the tooth has not fully stabilized yet (like braces) and so it takes a little time for it to firm up. If just slightly loose then watch it, if concerned call dentist.

Dentist: You really need to go into a dentist to find out why the tooth is loose. Was there some type of trauma to the tooth (this is the most common cause of a loose perm tooth on a child). There could also be an abscess causing it to be loose, or it might be a baby tooth!
