Depends on age : This will depend on your age and if weight gain is associated with hormonal changes of pregnancy or menopause. The breast is essentially composed of skin, fat and breast. Earlier in life, weight gain is more likely to be associated with overgrowth of the breast tissue and fat whereas later in life the increase is more likely associated with increase in the relative proportions of the fat component.
