Vague question: Cervical cancer is not transmitted from 1 person to another. The virus responsible (herpesvirus) is.

And it is quite likely that a man sometime in the past gave the carcinogenic virus to the nice lady that now has the cervix cancer. Infections are two way streets, and prevention has dual responsibility.
