Orthostatic dizzines: You've described a symptom called orthostatic dizziness in which the blood pressure drops precipitously with upright posture. Out of control diabetes, hemorrhage, dehydration, medicines, excess alcohol, are common causes but there are many others. You should see your doctor for a complete evaluation before you fall and really hurt yourself!
