May be a nerve issue: This could be a muscle issues related to training or a nerve compression. See your doctor and consider easing back on training for a bit.

Over training???: Need to monitor your body to not over do or over train. The pain can be from several issues, including the need for better, newer running shoes. If this problem does not resolve with rest, contact an orthopedic specialist

Sports medicine: See the sports medicine Physician. Any needed referrals to the Podiatrist or Orthopaedic Surgeon will be done as needed. Get fixed up -- there are plenty more marathons to do. Good Luck.
