Pediatric Pulmonology 21 years experience
No: Pneumonitis is any type of inflammation in the lungs. But pulmonary tuberculosis (which i'm assuming you refer to as ptb) can present as pneumonitis. Please see your doctor to get appropriate tests done for ruling out pulmonary tuberculosis.
Dr. Michael Ein
Infectious Disease 48 years experience
Yes, it can't: Pneumonia caused by viruses or bacteria cannot lead to tuberculosis. Tb can cause tuberculosis pneumonia.
