are hospital emergency rooms closing down in your area too? where else can people go when sick?

No: If some ers are closing near you, there should be others nearby. There are also urgent care centers - look on google for your area. But, you should not be using either except for true emergencies. Hopefully, that is extremely rare. Ers & clinics are not for minor issues or disease management. You should be going to your doctor. If you don't have insurance, buy it or apply for assistance.
