Sleep Training: 5 month old babies are capable of sleeping 8-10 hours a night. The sleep environment should allow her to fall asleep on her own when she is sleepy. This occurs best in her own space where she feels safe and can spend time alone even when not sleepy such as a crib. There are several training methods that can gradually and consistently help her adjust to calming herself to sleep.
