Usually: Clinistix is usually reliable. For blood on dipstick the can have false positives with eating beets, hemolysis (breaking up of red blood cells), severe muscle injury leaking myoglobin into urine. For protein false positives are associated with high ph (>7.5) and very concentrated urine. False negative protein can be associated with dilute urine. Leuk est usually reliable. Spe gravity reliable.
