Not always: The connection of varicocele and male sub-fertility is not entirely consistent: some men with sub-fertility are helped by varicocele repair, a large majority of men with varicocele never have fertility problems. Expert urologists and res often disagree on specifics, so i recommend in-person evaluation with an expert you trust.

Probably: Varicocele is only one possible cause of male subfertility. If a man is subfertile and has a varicocele, it should be treated in case it is a factor to optimize results - unless there is some other factor that is clearly responsible.
